Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is pleased to announce that it has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in a national search for their System, Chief Operating Officer who will also serve as President, Central Maine Medical Center. This newly created dual position will report to Jeff Brickman, CEO of Central Maine Healthcare.  This key leader will be responsible for advancing the operating and quality performance for one of the region’s prominent healthcare providers, serving as a mainstay in the community for over 100 years.  This is an exciting time to be joining the organization, which is going through a strategic and financial transformation with the goal of becoming a more integrated, value-driven organization.

CMH is a healthcare delivery system with approximately $500 million in net revenues, serving some 400,000 people living in central, western and mid-coast Maine.  CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital.  CMH also supports the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, located at CMMC, and the Central Maine Medical Group, a primary and specialty care practice organization with offices throughout the region. 

The executive will be responsible for the development and implementation of system-wide initiatives and operations across the hospitals, including service line development, oversight of the medical group and ambulatory care and post acute services.  He/she will work with organizational leaders to support system growth and create a new sense of ‘systemness’ removing silos and building integration across the continuum of care. He/she will demonstrably improve physician engagement, accountability and satisfaction, and lead evidence-based programs, practices and activities that deliver quality, service and financial performance.  

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, bold and operationally sound leader with skills in execution, financial management and business development, gained from experience in a senior leadership position within a multi-site health system. He/she will have at least five years in an executive/administrative leadership role; an advanced degree in health care or business related field is preferred.
