Lewiston, ME – Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) seeks an experienced and operationally sound healthcare leader to serve as their Vice President, Physician Services for Central Maine Medical Group (CMMG). This role requires progressive leadership with skills in execution, financial management and business development, gained from experience in a leadership position within a multispecialty physician group.

CMMG is an affiliate of CMH, a healthcare delivery system with approximately $500 million in net revenues, serving some 400,000 people living in central, western and mid-coast Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. In addition to its 3 acute facilities and CMMG, CMH also supports the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, located at Central Maine Medical Center.

CMMG is a primary and specialty care organization, comprised of over 400 physicians with 84 clinics serving 17 communities throughout Maine. The vast majority of physicians practicing within CMH are employed by CMMG.

The Vice President, Physician Services (VP) will be responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives and operations across the medical group, including practice management, physician recruitment and retention and staffing models. He/she will work with organizational leaders to the group’s growth and create a new sense of ‘systemness’ by removing silos and building integration across the continuum of care. He/she will endeavor to improve practice operations, access and provider satisfaction.

The successful VP will have at least seven to ten years physician practice management experience; an advanced degree in health care or business related field is preferred.  The individual who will best succeed is one who is visible, proactive, decisive, an outstanding communicator and one who is able to build relationships across the organization to engage peers in improving provider operations.
